Looking for sliders for my '97 FJ80. Prefer bolt on with no mods to front mud flaps and ability to use as step. Leaning toward Rocky Road or Hanna with cat protection. Slees are too $$ and don't look like they protect cats as well. Any thoughts?

Would you consider Slee's new style step sliders at a better price

I like my MetalTech sliders but they aren't the cheapest option out there.

^^^ If I were to buy sliders, that would be my choice.

Rumor has it there is at least one second hand set of sliders available?:hillbilly:

Hanna is out, he wont be supplying anything for awhile, just so you know.

Check out 4X Innovations in the Vendors Market. I like the design of their sliders and they are reasonably priced.

slider options

thanks for the good suggestions. Like the idea of going local with the Solid Rock ones. Look pretty similar to the 4X Innovations and Metal Tech but no shipping!

My sliders have the same single mount going between the cats and that "crossbar" has more scratches, scrapes, and gouges than Ted Nugents back! My opinion is that that type of design protects very well. I wasnt sure when I put them on 3 years ago but Im sure now. SO....the picture is the Slee step slider like mentioned above. I saw the "second hand" sliders of Phil's yesterday and I dont think there is even a scratch on them yet. No, Im not getting comission on this but if your worried about keeping costs down, want a step type slider, and of good quality, Id imagine you could save quite a bit of dough buying them "used" from Phil or by the looks of it Medtro (Jackson).

Solid Rock is not local.

I organized the Solid Rock (SROR) group buy, based on my experience on this group buy, I do not recommend doing any business with Solid Rock unless you enjoy getting screwed. It probably doesn't matter any more since their web site no longer exists.

Damn, missed it again just like the new t-shirts. Phil you are killin me.

With all the money you are making staying away from the forum you can afford retail.:D

Looks like the rear bumper is spoken for also:censor:
