FJ73 REAR Removable Door Tops

I think this may have been brought up before but....

After doing some research I have yet to come across an idea for rear half doors on an 1987 FJ73. I plan on removing the frp top... but the top of the rear doors on this particular truck are not removable (which is kind of funny for toyota to do since the top itself is in fact removable xD). I have read that the Spain spec trucks had removable door tops. And I have also heard that the soft top FJ73s had removable rear door tops.

SO my question (if anyone has an idea) is: what would be the best approach in finding some removable top rear doors... Or even someone selling the bottom rear HALF doors for that matter? Should I chase down some OEM removable top doors? Or try to get some fabbed up? IDK any advice on this subject would be a great help to a 4x4 newbie like me! thanks.

Good suggestion. I think that may just be the easiest way.

Yup. Seems the easiest route is just getting a second set of full doors and chopping them down to half height. Although if you're in the States--like me--then even that easy solution isn't quite so easy since there's no chance of finding them from a wrecker and über super slim chance of finding them from someone parting out a 70... Best chance IMO is classifieds on here, a Canadian connection, or a good importer that good get them abroad and perhaps get them a free boat ride with a truck they're already bring in. I'm currently working with an importer to get a set or two.

Thank you! I live in the states and already have a good relationship with an importer, so I think im going to take a similiar route as yourself... Hopefully I can get some half doors but to be honest just a pair of cut normal doors would be fine seeing as how rare finding these parts are.
