I placed a set of AR 23 16x8 wheels on my cruiser. Have a OME 2.5, back was clear but the front was rubbing on the TRE and brake cooling vent pad. They ordered a set of 17x8 wheels but I’m not sure if I’ll run into the same issue, I can also order the same wheel in a 15x8. Does anyone have any suggestions? My engine and transmission setup are an LS1 setup so I’m not worried about straining factory powertrain. Any help would be great thank y’all.

Almost all aftermarket wheels rub on Toyotas. Offset is critical. Size of the rim is only a small part of it.

You messed up. That size wheel has a 4.5" BS according to the site. Max BS is 4" on a 17" wheel cause it clears the TRE's.
Usually a 3.5" BS is maximum you want to have. You didn't say what size tires you have. But it you keep it 33" or less you
won't have any issues with the right wheel.
