While snapping some pics of my 88 FJ62s prior to sale, I was stumped by the variation in tool kits. Since I've owned the brown interior FJ62 since 90, I figure it's original; and the grey interior's kit may be a mix of various Toyota tool kits.

Chrome tire crank a Rocky MT option?

And only one section to reach the jack, I guess?

Any ideas?

2 hub cap pry bars for those quick pit stops?

And neither kit is as complete,

or bizarre, as the OEM kits in the 21' RTE 4X4 Toyota Odyssey RV:

original shortbed pickup kit

PLUS

original Toyota dual rear wheel kit (lug wrench did not fit the lug nuts on the duals, as they weren't OEM). LOL Always relied on a Gorilla kit.

Appreciate any perspective on these kits.

THANX!

Very nice minty kits.
I wish i would of kept my 60 kit together and mint like that.
Another lesson learned I guess.

The grey interior kit appears to be an assemblage of Toyota branded items collected by the PO, a former employee of Classic Cruisers.

I just didn't want to sell off something that SOR should have on display as a museum piece.:D

2MBB, do you have one of those part number schematics for the latemodel FJ60 as well? Or is it pretty much the same kit? Looks it.

My 1987 HJ60 has the same parts as in the kit of your brown interior FJ62. The only difference is the tool bag I have is a zippered duffle bag as in the diagram shown by 2mbb.

the kit with the brown jack rod is correct for 60-62's
