anyone ever run across this starting problem?? this truck will not turn over without stomping on the brake pedal from 1 to many, many times. runs great when it does finally start but im not trusting it till i get this fixed. lots of battery, all lights and windows work good,,just wont start without a good stomping.

100% sure it's not the starter/solenoid and just a coincidence that you're hitting the brake when the starter finally hits? Gotta ask. Only other thing is maybe a vacuum valve is dicked up in the brake booster, how's it run after starting?

does the same thing happen when you do NOT push the brake?
Fact is, no correlation between brake and starting in fj62. Look at the starter, etc...

it rus great after its started,,if you just turn the key on and off nothing happend. i need to hold the key in the start position and start stomping.

today it starts up just fine,,without any stomping at all
