Hello and thanks for any help in advance. I am trying to chase a electrical issue In a 1990 land cruiser I just re-acquired due to the po letting it get impounded after I Traded it 2 years ago, he sold etc without transferring title. Then since they could not figure out the problem they decided to or someone decided to start parting it out. It ended being impounded and the bill sent to me.

Here is what is what I have done so from reading previous posts, I do not have a factory manual so I can not chase a wiring diagram. I tried the b+ to fp on the diag port . No luck with getting fuel pressure or the fuel pump to work. I then bypassed it and went straight to the fuel pump from the battery and she started up and revs up no problem , idles nice. So I figured it was either a wiring issue or relay. I cleaned the connector in the left rear wheel well area. I then also replaced the relay in the right front kick panel area. No luck. Now I am scratching my head...if the efi relay was bad the engine would not run, correct?

I am about to go with a toggle on the dash and fuse on the battery and hard wire the fuel pump . But that would not be a real safe idea.
I have a chiltons manual but there are no color codes for wires or detailed diagrams.
I would like to run a continuity test from the firewall back but am unsure which connectors to check from etc.
Thanks for all the info so far.

Never mind....I found the problem. It was the harness to the fuel pump. I rechecked the connector and started to test the pins . One of the pins broke off when I barely touched it. So I went to jump the connector and cut the red green wire on the back and the wire pulled right out of the harness when I tugged on it softly. It was broken about 8 inches inside the harness. .....on to the next project.

How did you reach it without dropping the tank.

the wiring is accessible thru the center of the cargo area, there is an access door for the fuel level sending unit.
you can run direct 12 volt to the pump wiring there.
there is a connector in the driver rear quarter panel that can be bad and will cause issues.
