I am replacing the seat covers on my FJ62 but can not figure out HOW to separate the front seat lower and upper?? There appears to be a rivet type retaining clip on the right side. How do you remove this?
Pictures would help - video even better. But for now, I'll take a description of the procedure.

As I recall there is a bolt on one side, and a pin and C clip on the other side. Undo the bolt, remove the C clip and separate the upper and lower. Just be careful of the spring on the recline mechanism.

On the side without the recline handle it’s as George above describes - remove the C-clip.

On the side with the recline handle remove the Phillips screws that retain the plastic cover and slide the cover forward. There are two bolts that hold the seat back & recline mechanism to the lower seat frame. Remove the bolts - seat back and base are now separate.

Thanks! I got it. It helps when you turn the clip around and find out it’s not just a washer.

George-
I am fiddling with this same disassembly. However, I am doing so to replace the plastic bushings on the pins. The C clip comes out easily enough. However, is the pin part of the lower seat frame or is it removable by itself? If the former, I'm guessing I have to pull the seat recline mechanism as well to get to the bushings.
