FJ62 Compression

Sorry I don't have a manual for this, so I'll ask it from a practical point of view:

If I look more closely at the 88 FJ62, I'll probably compression test it. What is standard and what is acceptable compression?

I think 160 or 165 PSI is stock. As long as all cylinders are within 15% or so of each other you should be fine down to an average of 130PSI or so. Remember that valve adjustment will make a big difference in compression values. The main thing a quck test will tell you is if the cylinders are more or less equal.
