Hey all, thought I'd put a build thread up for a drawer system I've just started for my FJ62 (as I get so much info from this forum!).
Got the inspiration to build my own, rather than buying some of the 4wdsupacentre ones here in Aus, after seeing dozer18's build thread: FJ62 DIY Cargo Box
Went for something quite similar but will probably make changes as I go. Flipped the kitchen and fridge side over to work with the barn doors and spare wheel carrier, the left hand side can only open so far and the fridge/esky will need all the room it can to slide out.
Decided to spend a little more and get marine ply all round, 1 sheet of 18mm for the base and main load bearing walls, then 2 sheets of 12mm for the drawers/everything else.
Day one was a bit short after getting everything, but got the base cut to size and routed for the 4 walls. All four walls cut as well and fitting snug. I cut the back parts of the walls on a slight angle to account for angle of the rear seat, doesn't line up perfect but should allow the drawer slides to fit in easily at the bottom later on.
Will update as I go along!
Cheers
