Hey Guys, I recently rebuilt the hubs and replaced the rotors and pads in the front and replaced the brake cylinders in the back. After I bled the brakes and felt like everything was air tight, I put it on the road and drove it. It stops, but nose dives a little and it doesnt stop nearly like my old FJ60.... Then I realized I didn't bleed the load sensing proportioning valve. The front hub, brake assembly is way hot after just a little in town driving...Would the LSPV having a little air in the line cause this?

I had a similar problem. When you go to bleed the rears I did the LSPV first, then drivers side rear then passenger side rear. ( I know I'll catch flack from some folks) If you have a couple of hours to spare, repair your bell cranks. It's pretty quick to do since you previously pulled the drum. It'll help with the parking brake which adjusts your rear brake pads. Just search for "bell cranks".

Reminds me that I need to rebleed my rears since I replaced my rear flexible line a couple of weeks ago.

I don't think it should be nose diving-mine doesn't. Maybe your rears aren't working properly for some reason. Did you adjust them tight after replacing the wheel cylinders? I think the LSPV is supposed to be bled last. Excessive heat from the front hubs sounds problematic too.

My '84's rears were inoperative when I got it. When I freed up the frozen bell cranks it stopped fine despite the 33s. Go back through the rears with the FSM in hand. I bet you forgot something.

Thanks guys, good advice.
