Hello,
I have a 1981 BJ60 with a 4 speed transmission and a split case manual (not vacuum) transfer case.
Since my TC is losing some oil there are so many FJ60 TCs on the market to buy rather than for the BJ60s.
My TC has 19 splines input and 34 mm idler gear.
So can I use a TC from an early FJ60 (-1984) with 34 mm idler gear?
What if the new idler gear has 38 mm?
I know that for the transmission I can not use the FJ60 tranny because of the longer input shaft of the tranny for the 3B engine but after reading all here from tranny to TC it should be the same thing.
Please advise!
