I am finishing a multiyear rebuild. Blogs here: 1983 FJ60 Rebuild Project LS conversion and here: 1983 FJ60 Land Cruiser rebuild and upgrade

Everything is back together and Oh s*** forgot the speedometer cable. I don't know what the original routing was. I don't see the round hole that the the round grommet should go into. I might have used it to pass other cables? Does someone have pictures or info on routing? I looked through other speedo cable threads but not much on the actual routing as most people just pull the new one through using the old one.

Thanks.

I’m facing this now. Any advice or pics appreciated!!

Routing on mine (BJ60, MTM, RHD but should be very similar to yours):

-Bracket on PTO output flange of transfer case (one of the 6 M8 bolts).
-Black plastic fastener onto a hole on the LH side of a bracket behind the transmission cut-out.
-Grommet on LH side of front of transmission tunnel
-White/natural plastic coloured bracket onto one of the dashboard support brackets
