Fj60 Radio Antenna Options

Well Last Monday I was very happy with myself.... I installed a new Antenna on the 60 and wouldn't you know it, the very first time I engauge 4wd i snap the danm thing off on the first tree that goes by.....


Does anyone one know of anyone that makes an aftermarket Antenna that fits in the stock location that is flexible enough to handle the ocassional tree branch?

find a 62 being parted and get the power antenna

i bought a generic 18" flexable rubber one for about 20 bucks at the local pep boys.

Radio Shack and local auto parts stores commonly have full size, stainless steel[mast] spring base antennas for $10-$15. They're nice 'cause they extend to and beyond the 30" required for good FM reception(sorry, little plastic stubby) and easily flex all the way to horizontal. Easy, hand-scraping install also!

I also bought a replacement antenna from SOR and almost rip it right off of my rig when I was parking under a carport.
