Ordered an new aftermarket radiator from an Autozone and the filler neck would not take my OEM Toyota rad cap.( neck was to small) Who can recomend a good radiator supplier that will be more original and fit my toyota cap and other fittings?

This will help complete my cooling system overhaul. Replaced the cap. Replacing the thermostat and waterhousing cuz the PO stripped the #1 thread. Now new Radiator cuz of leak and clog somewhere ( big rust streak down the radiator)

FJ would run cool around town but 10 minutes into any highway driving temp would run toward the red.

I've run into the radiator cap thing too. It's not that the aftermarket radiator doesn't accept a stock cap they just accept one cap for all applications , where Toyota changed caps a couple times during the run of FJ60/62's. I'm sure the radiator takes a stock cap. just not stock for your year

Had the same problem when I got CCOT radiator for my 83 wagon. It used the same type cap that fit my 92 22Re truck's radiator. Got one of these at Auto zone...

I just installed a rad from radiatorexpress.com, and reused the stock cap.
Of course, things were't all great with the shipment, their 'next day delivery' sure didn't apply to me---try 5 days! they didn't answer the 3 e-mails (their stated preferred communication method) I sent asking for an arrival or at least a tracking #.
At least its done now. I was driving my desert hoopty to work for the week. That was interesting.

I just picked one up at performanceradiator.com and think I will need a new cap. It is well made & fit perfect and will see how it runs & cools.

same here stole the cap off my ranger :grinpimp:
