recently i saw this video
i decided to try it out
the parts you will need include
CLEVIS PIN,SS,5/16 X 2 1/4 - 8 of them
Cotter pin to fit
Tools required
Hammer
Drift pin
hacksaw/cutoff wheel for the existing hinges
12mm wrench
chisel
i followed the video instructions but ran into a big problem with the bolts not allowing the pins to fit in, so i simply removed them on the side where the pins fit. i plan on putting small tack welds on next weekend but the doors have felt pretty secure with 2 out of the 4 bolts.
no additional slop, and the doors take about 15 mins to take off all together.
some of the hinges came out easily, and others we had to use wd40/liquid wrench and beat the hell out of. i ended up bending a few of my hinges but it was repaired easily. use liquid wrench on them beforehand.
Finished Product.
