Hi Guys

I am currently building up a FJ60 Landcruiser and am about to do a SOA conversion using a hi steer setup of some sort. I am looking into the Marlin Kit, but was wondering if anyone is running this on an FJ60 and if so, what do you do for a pitman arm? All the articles and what not i read on the site and elsewhere online, mention that the pitman arm attaches to the IFS box (almost all articles i found were about installing this system on a mini truck or runner). I am running the stock soild axle FJ box in my rig. Can the hi steer be set up to work with this? Any advice would be great! Anyone got pics?

Thanks

Contact Pismojim on this board, or reach him through www.realcruiser.com. He has a highsteer setup in his FJ60 that works very well and he sorted out all the connections. He also has great advice/experience about SOA FJ60's.

I used the OTT system complete with pitman arm (burliest I've seen), drag link, and tie rod (all tapered and threaded for chevy 3/4 ton rod ends). Same as the mini-truck/four runner....works well on a 60 series unless your SOA uses lifted springs...pitman arm doesn't have as much drop as stock so the higher your rig sits, the more the drag link will run at a downward angle.

I'm using the All-Pro hi steer arms and they work good with my SOA w/OME springs. The arms I have are punched for 5/8" heims not TRE.The pass. side arm has some unapropriate touching between the heims at full turn.
I am using the stock FJ60 pitman arm.
I would consider the 4x4 Labs arms.................
