Caster Correction Bushing press tool to borrow or rent?

Hi,

I bought a used OME medium lift off the classifieds here and it comes with a set of new, unused OME caster correction bushings.

I have access to a big shop press, but the hard part of pressing stuff in or out always seems to be finding something that is just the right size to press in/out with. The things around the shop are usually too big or too small.

Yes, I know, I can make one, butI don't want to put the time or energy into making a press tool. I know it wouldn't be much of a project on a metal lathe, but I have a hassle of a time getting access to a metal shop. Plus it is essentially a one time use tool for me. I hate to put the time and energy in just to use it four times and put it on the shelf forever.

Do you have a slee adapter that you would loan me, rent to me, or sell to me for this job?

On a related thought - wouldn't it be cool if we had a SST collection on the board that we could use. Tools that could be rented for a nominal fee with a credit card number for replacement if not returned. The fee could go toward new SST purchases and board upkeep.

Especially for seldom used tools like this adapter - but even for common tools like the 54mm axle nut tool. Why on earth did I buy one when I only need it every 60K miles or so....

Oh well, I guess the problem is that someone has to administer it and that is time and hassle. Just a random thought.

Anyone that has a slee adapter tool and would consider loan/rent/selling, would you please shoot me a PM or an email.

Thanks,
Charlie

TY - no help 'atoll ...

FJ55 Fenders...

I'm in the process of getting two, possibly four more pictures of the 4 other fenders I have. Here are the two I took so far showing what condition they are in. I believe that of the other four, most have the cancer these do where the rear of the fender meets the front of the door. Let me know what you think.

Tyler - catster -> a miniature catalytic converter - you use the press tool to change the angle of the mini-catalytic converter to clear the sliders, ya know...

Sorry, I'll try to fix the title if the software will let me. Typing is not my strong suit.

Next time I should use a speel tsheckur, uh, spell checker.

Charlie
