Now I won't whine on and on about that system.&*^%$#* should suffice.
Leaked/sucked since we bought it.
new gaskets ..yadda yadda..
Leaked. One piece early exhaust manifold. yadda yadda leaked.
Header and fancy smancy gasket....leaked.
But at least it was quiet and ran without choke with new system
from collector back. No cat.
Re-assemble with stock gasket and care for fitting. 2 stripped head holes.
Runs great with a bad turbo whistle at idle.
Helli coils I ain't got. Off to shop. All new bolts and helli coils installed
with remflex gasket. Picking Big up tomorrow.
Shop guy said it was so quiet you could hear that 38DGAS sucking air
when you stomped it on the highway.
:grinpimp:
God I hope it isn't yet ANOTHER leak.
60 38GDAS header.webp

It looks like nothing. vacuum to vacuum

It's a Hot Rod!

All is well that ends well. Ol Big is a hot rod now. :grinpimp:

Smooth idle and NO leaks!

I can really tell the difference. 38DGAS and Eldenbrock headers
equals....Varooooom

It is good to have our dog hauler/covered pickup back in the stable.

I see your egr pipe doesn't leak!

:grinpimp: Too bad it doesn't have OBD 2 or I could get to look at a
check engine light forever.

She's been de-smogged for years and a while back I installed one
of $OR's smog pump eliminator pulley things.

Got it back to basics. It's how I like 'em.
