Selling a sable to free the cash for yours, but not getting much interest on a sable  If I get the cash, I'll be all over it.

Bump for a good deal.

I'm asking the question because I'm shopping for a diesel 60/62 - not being snarky. From your response, it sounds like the factory direct injection & turbocharger are the selling points.

sure looks snarky and classless to me.

could have done without the peanut gallery comments.

hey there's a 2H halfcut with your name on it down a SOR for $8500. You can have it shipped, rebuilt, turbo added for another $5000. Oh yeah, it comes with a sweet AUTO tranny too

good luck with your endeavor.

I'd love to see some of those 60/62 diesels you're looking at for 12.

Torfab out of Seattle was selling one not too long ago. It was a rust free, orange fj60 with a rebuilt 2H, along with H55f. It was listed for 10K. Dillon, ya missed out!
12HT's are more expensive engines though. This is not a vehicle for the man with the typical middle class budget.

I actually saw that one when I first started my search but I was still in lurker mode trying to understand the market back then. Now I understand that I should have gone and driven it :) I've looked at a couple others in the that are similar but I haven't found too many in the states. Canada is a whole different story.

I apologize for giving the appearance of being snarky. It wasn't the intention - when I said I was a non-expert and that I was trying to understand ... I meant it. I was expecting the proud seller to come back and list all the reasons why this truck is awesome.

Dillon,

You're not trying to be snarky, just an azzh@le.

How would this rig do towing a trailer, whats it's estimated tow capacity? I like the vehicle but I just picked up a trailer and would like to make sure this could handle it

same as an FJ or BJ towing capacity I guess.

I wouldn't tow more than a couple thousand pounds behind it. Maybe do a search and see what the capacity of the 60 series is.

High Dollar

Bump,
for an overpriced cruiser. 25k buys alot these days. There is an ass for every seat, good luck finding one.:flipoff2:

Another class act from Northern Cal. You must be snoodle buds with Dillon.

25K buys a lot, but 30 buys you a new tractor! BWAH, you f'n hypocrite!

Wait is it up for sale?

Spent nearly 2 years trying to find a 12ht and h55 to do my 60 with finally decided to go back to the 2f and h55 because I couldn't build it paint it and drive it and get the cost below 20k and tha'ts with a rust free truck to start with. I"m going to go out on a limb here and say if you want to trade for my ex wife I'm game. Great sexy truck fair price. The ex wife is sexy too and if you drink heavily you won't know the difference.

Of course it is still for sale. 25k builds one hell of a cruiser. A lazy I gotta have one person will buy it.

Still can not comprehend the the obsession over Toyota diesels.
After having owned three diesel cruisers, I would not own one again.
Underpowered, overpriced, expensive parts, overrated.

Building a cruiser with a Cummins 4BT or 6BT with an NV4500 is a much better way to go.:)

SOLD. for 25K

Internet tough guy, after having owned 3 yourself and wouldn't own one again, WTF are you still on a cruiser site with cruiser in your username? Would not own one again, yet your sig says it all you miserable hypocrite and biggot. You must have real issues to show up after years of not posting just to bash a classified ad. And you're a real f@ggot pickin out your little smiley face to show your penis envy for a Cummins. Go get on a Dodge site.

You're a classless idiot. No doubt surveyor, you have no life.

I never get involved with these online pissing matches, but I simply cannot sit idle and watch a good guy get hammered over the sale of his impeccably built, rare diesel cruiser.

SURVEYOR CRUISER, you're a class act! This is a Classified section of the forum, which is a place users can advertise their vehicles in hopes of finding a buyer. This is NOT a place users advertising their vehicles in hopes of receiving useless and unwarranted ridicule.

As one of the 'lazy gotta have one' people who almost purchased this vehicle, I take personal offense to your comments. Some of us do not have the luxury of endless time on our hands to build a rig of this caliber. I don't know about you, but I work an average of 60hrs a week, have a family, a house, ect, ect...I barely have time to maintain my FJ40. I saw this as an amazing opportunity to purchase a rare toyota diesel that was rebuilt from the ground up. After doing all my research (and reflecting on my past three cruiser builds) I realized I would be hard pressed to build this truck for under 25k in my OWN garage, never mind having it built by a top quality, reputable shop. But I digress...my point was not to argue with a irrational person who I'll never meet face to face.

My point was to reiterate the fact that this was a great opportunity to purchase a rare, fully rebuilt cruiser from a good guy, for a good price. Again, this forum is NOT a place for subjective comments in the form of ridicule. Lastly, your incomprehension of peoples obsessions with toyota diesels is completely irrelevant, and frankly out of place on a TOYOTA forum.

Please take it down a notch SURVEYOR CRUISER...your comments are unwelcome and unwarranted.
