Jason, so are we still working on a group buy here on the Grey 60 series carpet. I know that Poppy is getting fitted now and I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Yes still a group buy.

BUT! I'm trying to get him to offer the same price whether 1 or 20 are ordered at a time. Not sure if I will be able to talk him into it or not.

He did say today that if he has sets to make that he will make pieces as long as it is at the same time. I don't know prices on these yet.

Went by last night before they closed and the are still working on it.

They had to get on another project right quick. This was part of the deal so, I can't complain. They gave me a sample of the grey carpet and like an idiot and talking... I sat it down somewhere and walked off without it..

I'll send Andrea to get it this afternoon.

Thanks for the patience guys.

First, I want to say that I requested this install with NO STEAM to manipulate the contours to see how close they could get it without, since more than likely none of you will have a steamer handy to assist with install.

I honestly score this material and fit at a 8.5 of 10 just laid in to follow the contours. It is 45F here today so there is quite a bit of room for the carpet to "relax" with warmer temps. With the addition of steam or a higher ambient temp and natural settling I'm comfortable with a 9 of 10 result.

Second, I like the fact that this is a guy I can talk to and we can bounce ideas and concepts off of.

Third, would I buy this kit again, YES.

Cut and sewn vs. molded is much different. Some wrinkling and a looser fit is to be expected.

We went through 18 samples to make me happy with the grey color. It's as close as anyone will every get it, IMO... We dug deep into his MANY carpet books for it... 1956 FORD GREY. I have to say... we blew dust off that book.. HA!

Like I said, I'm pleased and would order it again.

Also, he confirmed today that he would make 5 alike kits at a minimum instead of 10.

The minimum order in each color is now 5 sets. Offered in brown or grey as shown. No blue/grey being offered.

Now offered to owners of 62 series. Minimum order of 5 combines 60 & 62 series in each color. Differences in series are accommodated by shifter and rear heater not being cut out for 62 series. On 60 series sets the heater will be cut out and the shifter location is marked but not cut out.

Purchases are made thru @reevesci at Trail-Tailor.com, price is $850 shipped to the lower 48 states. Deposit of $425 required to place order. 4-6 week lead time. Specify 60 or 62 series when ordering.

Currently we have enough interest in grey sets to proceed (12). Need one more order for the brown set (4).

Still waiting on pricing for the interest in 2 front sections in brown.

is the grey color close to the fj62 grey or the earlier 60 series. I've read they are a little different greys? I have a 62 that I'd like trunk carpet for. the rest is good. I just don't want them to be mismatched too much. I'd go in for a trunk carpet if he's doing them by piece
