Hello Everyone, Just wanted to put the word out there that I'm trying to hunt down an FJ. I've been lurking on the forums for a while as well as the classifieds here, so I figured I'd put the feelers out on here
The Criteria
- I live in the Northeast, so it needs to be a Rust Free Rig, or pretty close to it. that's essentially the biggest issue/requirement I have. Mechanically I'd prefer to have a well maintained truck with the appropriate documentation to prove it. However, I do intend on doing the majority of the work myself as I have the appropriate Tools/Lift so it doesn't have to be a spotless beauty.
The Budget
- Ideally I'd like to find a rig for $10,000 USD. I'm primarily looking for quality, if a great truck shows up that I wouldn't have to immediately pour funds into that's 3-4K more I have no Issue. The best scenario would be a solid truck for 8K or a well sorted rig with some extras for 13k. With this in mind Diesel Fj's will be out of my budget, but that's a simple swap I can manage down the road.
The Purpose
- Over all, I'm looking for a truck that I can camp in during the summer, and commute on my short ride to work during the winter. Like anyone else, I'm probably going to throw a lift in along with some ARB goodies based on existing modifications to the truck that I find

Thanks for reading, as well as being such a great wealth of information
