I just purchased an awesome FJ60 from 624life. My wife and I are prepping it for a global expedition as well. The best advice I can give you is follow the KISS method. A stock FJ 60 will take you anywhere you want to go. However for older rigs you need to look at bearings and seal. If you at that point then I would upgrade to forge axles in the rear, logfields in the front, 4:56`s if you running 255/85R/16`s and for lockers I`m going with Yukon Grizzlies, Just as strong if not stronger than Detroits but with smoother action. ARB`s are nice but then again that leaves something to break and more parts to buy to make them work. Which locker is a debate in it self. So I say go with what you like the most. Think about where your going. If your shipping the truck overseas the door way of a shipping container 7'-4". A lifted truck with 35`s wont fit especialy with a roof rack. Just food for thought. Plan the trip, then plan the truck. It will save you a lot of "i should haves". Best of Luck
