Hey, picked up this 60 back in 2019. It has served me well. Gone though lots of changes and upgrades along the way but the overall exterior build has remained mostly the same. I do love it, but I am thinking it's time for a refresh in a few ways. Curios of the group think and experience on a few of these things. The idea is to still keep this camp ready but way less of a "rig" so weekend cruising doesn't feel like I just came down the mountain...
1. Tires - Time to ditch the Nitto Trail Grapplers. Currently 285/75/17 E load. Even with the V8 these tires feel heavy and rock hard at this point. Thinking of going K03 285/70/17 C load. So back to 33" and hopefully more comfy on the road.
2. Wheels - Was looking at some black wheels, but still really like the Analog HD's.. I am not sure about black wheels with the tan color trucks...
3. Bumpers - Thinking about getting rid of the ARB and going with the low-profile single hoop front bumper. I think this will really help me tone down the "full rig" look in the front. Leaving the rear dual swing.
4. Snorkle - I am over the snorkel. This is priority to toning down the build for me. Currently either gonna pay up for a replacement quarter panel and paint match or try and trade for someone who wants a snorkel? Feels like this will be expensive. Has anyone had a shop be able to patch and restore the fender from the cut hole?
5. Tent - Does anyone know if the gutter rails can handle the tent being taken on and off?
Ok, thats it for now!
This is how the truck is sitting now, minus the ARB aux lights on the front bumper.
This is mock up of the low pro bumper and snorkel removed.
