Following to see what direction your taking on the H55F conversion. Not sure about the 60 series but on the 40 series 10/82 the crossmember changed when the five speed started. The area under the front driveshaft changed. It was deeper to allow better clearance since the five speed is longer it changed to angle to the front diff. I see the part number for the crossmember changed 10/82 on the 60 series while the L brackets stayed the same. @3_pupies I believe has parted some FJ60 and may have some input on any differences.

I'm not certain I looked hard enough at the 60 crossmembers to see if there was a difference.
I'm thinking not but could be wrong.
it seems like the early version of the crossmember had "cage" around the front driveshaft
pics later today

@NOSAJ what bellhousing are you going to be using? the crossmember needs to match the crossmember.
if using a 3F bellhousing you need a 1 piece crossmember
if using a pre 1985 bellhousing you need a 3 piece crossmember

I have one of the cages from an 84 HJ47RV. I know the cage changed for the five speed because the double cardan joint was further back. Just looking at US market FJ60 the crossmember changed 10/82. Transmission didn't change but inspection cover and boots. This was universal matter a five speed or a four speed. Believe it was all related to the new longer H55F being used in some markets.

As for the OP he has a later crossmember but found after he installed it he has a 2F bellhousing and needed to have a 3F. Following his thread see he is trying to prevent pulling the transmission and finding/installing a 3F bellhousing.

60 series is different size - see details from my stock below.
