I have a 1985 FJ60 and the engine just threw a rod and I am in desparate need of a new 2F engine for it. Those who have had experience with this in the past or just simply know what's up... should i just rebuild it or buy a used one? I can't afford a chevy block right now so i must get another 2F. Anybody looking to get rid of one or have information that would help me find someone who is? I would be so grateful!

They are expensive engines to have rebuilt.

How was our compression before it went?

Where are you located?

I have one in Beloit, Wisconsin. (70 Miles from Ohare airport in Chicago, 50 miles from Milwaukee, Wi, and 50 miles from Madison, WI)

I don't know where you are, but if you're interested, shoot me a PM.

$200 for the short block.... 210,000 miles. Ran well before I took it out, good compression, some leaking oil, but not major, doesn't burn oil.

I hear ya on it. I just went through this myself too, although my didn't thow any rods or anything but I belive it had a burned valve. You can follow my thread (Teardown has started) Good luck.

HI^C on here has one for sale. Check the Parts for Sale Forum.

Here's in Nebraska or Iowa or somewhere in the midwest.

I think he wants something like 500 or 600 bones for it. Low miles too I believe.

Its also in a running 40 right now.
