FJ45LV window felts (doors), window gaskets

Hey guys I am new over here, came from Pirate, name is Edwin.
I have two 45LV's, one is OrangeFJ45 (for those of you who know Georg) a 1966 w/ SOA, 350,4sp,finespline,boggers . The other is well currently a flower potter.
I am about to do quite a bit of bodywork and wanted to know if you guys have any good leads on window felts and gaskets?
Here is what I have so far:
Door gaskets: JcWhitney PN #ZX132562B
Windshield/Window gaskets: Modify SOR repro FJ40 front windshield gasket (x3) for front and rear quarter windows; FJ40 lift tailgate windowgasket should work.
Door strikers:Ordered a set from FoxFabber.

So what I am still looking for: The following list and anything you want to mention about the above list, all input appreciated.

Rear tailgate upper/lower door gasket
Hood to body gasket (close to the windshield)
Door window felts (all- esp. the small vent windows in the front doors).
Also how do the doors differ between 40's, 45 trucks, and 45LV, I know about the latch mechanisms but what else.
Cheers Edwin

don't know if the 45lv's are like 55's, but if so, i just put some of the cheap aftermarket window felts in mine...they work fine. your local body shop should be able to tell you of a good weatherstrip place. in denver, it's b-d weatherstrip. they've got tons of stuff. just take a chunk down and match it up.

I thought there was some talk of Sphincter Off Road coming out with a weatherstripping kit for the LV's?

Not sure thought, but could swear I saw it posted somewhere?

yep, thats what Marv told me on the phone

Do you know if it was it a complete weatherstripping kit? ETA on availibility?

I don't need it right now, but at some point in the near future I am going to need every piece of weather stripping, including the glass weatherstripping, for the entire vehicle.

I remember getting a flyer in the mail from SOR a month or 3 ago, had some LV parts, don't remember now. Did that flyer have weatherstripping for sale? I remember seeing the headliner?

Just curioius.

Ok all
Just ordered the JC whitney weatherstripping, as Spectre discontinued theirs, only thing left is window felts as i have yet to go to the bodyshop. Also ordered three frontwindshield gaskets for the window (It's a 45 LV) and the rear window seal from a 40. will keep posted as to success or failure.

Specter Off Road hasn't discontinued the weatherstripping kit fot the LV, they are still putting it together. They're also working on several other thing for the LV too. The aftermarket rubber for FJ40s '74 and earlier works on all fixed glass for the LV too. The one that SOR sells fits the LV windshield without having to cut it. Here's a pic of it installed on my LV.

Thanks LCJ- thanks much for the info, I was goin to say that I was only going off their website, so cool, also glad to hear about the fixed rubber. Your windshield looks to be damn near hermetically sealed. No wipers though must be tough in the rain:)

I still haven't found a definitive answer as to what to get for window felts. and figured this was a good place to post it.
I am looking for window felts for my lv as well as the window weather stripping that runs on the door where the glass goes in when you roll it done its main job is to keep water out.
Can I use the felts and door flet for an fj40?? as see on this SOR page?

The area where item 33 or there abouts interior or exterior I forget which, anyhow, Johnathon a TLC mentioned he was experementing with fj60 window felt. It's been a long while since I last talked to him. Just thought I mentioned it.

thanks for the tip I went out and compared one of my window hoops for the lv with my fj62 ones and found the glas ont he lv is thicker and the window felt would be too narrow. and its broken up in small sections. not sure its what I am looking for.
I did order a JCWhitney catolog in that they don't have pictures of evrything on there web site. so once that shows up I will post pics and part numbers of what I find works best.
thanks again

good to see you on here edwin; long time no hear. post a pic of orange in it's current state, would you?!

also, fwiw, i thought that TLC had a lot of the rubber components for the doors and windows. i know they had them a few years ago cause i got a quote from the for a complete set........

was at a funky street rod builders place last night and he suggested Steele rubber for finding some vintage rubber shapes and gaskets. I order a catolog today so I will post up scans of pages if it looks promising

any luck with jcwhitney?

I did order some stuff from them the window felts worked well. but the rear liftgate/tailgate weatherstriping I got from them, while it was the right shapeit wsa not near thick enought. my hope is that the Steele catolog will have better pictures of the products, in that with JCWhitney it is alot of geuss work as to if it will work or not, and what the product is.

I just got confirmation from Karr Rubber that they will sell additional vent window rubber moldings if anyone wants them. I bought a pair 2 years ago. Current cost is $210.00 per pair but he said you will need to get a quote from them as prices change bla bla. One of the Mudders here had his originals reproduced, thank you very much. I think it is a fair price for something that is not available. Can not speak of the quality b/c mine are still in the box and at this point may never see the light of day. Any how hear is the link and email. They were very nice to deal with and were quick to make an adjustment to one of my moldings when I had an issue.
