i just got bman's burn victim LV and will only be using the frame and springs. so if anybody needs something off it, please let me know. just keep in mind that this rig did go thru a fire. lotsa surface rust but then again, lotsa salvageable parts.

got hot enough that the carb melted. half of it formed a stalagtite on the frame rail below.

anyways, here's a pic. sad, i know. but this rig has already donated enough "organs" to keep a few other LVs on the road and will be reborn as my shop truck.

Ohh what a shame!!!!!!!!!! I did not know about the vehicle untill just now. 'm new to this site. Anyway if you want the carcass to be used (if it can) on a 64 shortbed fj45 then I'm interested. Specifically I need the steering box, pitman arm and from end. That's all (haha). Actually I'm not sure of what else I need that is usable from a long wb to a swb. Let me know if we can work something out. I'm in Asheville NC. Where are you?

Hey, are the front seat sliders useable? I need a set of those. I can't remember from the last time I saw that truck in Phoenix.

mechanically, the parts for all 40s and 45s are pretty much the same except for drive line lengths for the early years. so the column, bell crank, linkage and front axle will all interchange. does'nt matter if it's a 40, and LV, a swb or a lwb. the column i have is toast. pun intended. the front axle should be ok. freebie if you wanna pay the shipping.

i will check on the seat sliders. they should be useable with some time and effort.

I have the lever mechanism I just need the vent door. I hav ea line on one but the guy wants a fortune for it just seeing if i could find one reasonably priced ... oh welllooks like I get the one that will cost me 2 of my children.

Don't worry too much the one I have is just as rusty as the truck it came from!!

This vehicle donated the ribbed quarter pannels for my LV.

Might want to shoot Mikesta a PM cause I know he is looking for some LV floors. My quarters were in nice shape, hour or two of sanding and they were ready to install.
