I have no firsthand knowledge of this vehicle, however I have closely followed a couple of previous auctions from this seller, and they're not someone with whom I'd want to do business.

Especially this 4Runner auction that was pulled down a couple of months ago.

Thanks for posting this alert. Some of these used car places are very crooked and what they say cannot be believed. All these "restored" Colombian 40 series flooding the market from opportunistic Florida re-sellers have really become annoying. It's almost to the point where a whole new industry has developed around recycling these mules to unsuspecting gringos.

Knowledgeable buyers realize how heavily used and abused these were in their home country, and can see beyond the new coat of lipstick and the multiple clear coats on them now. But they still keep bringing them in, so somebody's buying them. Caveat emptor.

I'm not a fan of imports in general. They have "screwed the pooch" for the vintage Land Cruiser market. With that said, there ARE some good imported trucks out there.

I think a bunch of solid 43’s were imported from Colombia.
Don’t think that there hasn’t been few over priced , sugar coated NA spec FJ40’s that were passed on to the unsuspected!

I drive my 1981 FJ43 all over the states without a care in the world. No lipstick to touch up either!
