Ya know, the stock ones are pretty wimpy. I got one for my 40 from one of the cruiser boutiques that was bomb proof - 1/4" steel I believe. Might be a better option.

I think I do. I haven't tried it yet, but I suspect it won't work with the H55F I have.

If you want to let Jon keep his I have three of them sitting here. Not sure what years they are from. One is a bit deeper than than the other maybe fit Jon's tranny? Two of them have surface rust and need paint. If you guy's want one of them you can have it. I have too many cruiser parts lying around. My living room is looking like my garage!

Steve is on his way over to look at mine. It's his if it fits. I might take you up on one of yours when I get the tranny back on and can see what's going on. Otherwise I was going to make something.

Not sure where the third one is, but here are two of them. IIRC the other one is like the one on the left. When my brother bought his '69 40 they left a bunch of parts in the tub.

Those are both different from the one I got from Jon, but look like they would fit better. Are those 12" tiles?

Nope, don't fit. One is too wide and the other too narrow...
What width? I still have the other one in my truck.

27 and a half in front, 29 and a half in the back - those are the bolt widths.

That is about the same measurments on the other one. What about the distance front to back?

The bolt holes don't match up on the other one...
Huh? The other one in my pic measures about that. If you want you can try that one.
