SOLD FJ40 Fan Shroud (Modified)

FJ40 fan shroud modified to fit Champion Aluminum radiator.

The back story: I bought this fan shroud with an aluminum radiator and fan blade from CruiserCorps. I had a metal shop modify the fan shroud to fit the Champion radiator. It needed to be modified to allow room for the inlet and outlets and the plugs for the trasmission cooling holes. See the picture below.

When i tried to put everything together I learning that the fan blade I had ordered would not fit my fan clutch. I returned the fan blade and got the appropriate blade for a fan clutch. Then I learned that the correct fan blade for a fan clutch was to big for the fan shroud.

Due to the modifications I cannot return the fan shroud to CruiserCorps.

I decided that maybe someone on IH8MUD could use it. It should fit any FJ40 without a fan clutch. It will also work perfectly with an aluminum radiator from Champion or CruiserCorps.

I have $125 in the fan shroud and $165 in metal work modifications to the shroud.

It is in perfect shape and painted. Ready to install.

Price: $230 (I know you can get them cheaper, but not modified to use with the aluminum radiator).

What's the diameter of the shroud? Is it metallic?

Mine has a fan clutch also and I'll the diameter also

The shroud is metal (original Toyota shroud). The inside diameter of the fan opening is 18 and 5/8ths inches. My fan blade fit but did not provide enough play for engine movement and shake.

The fan diameter of my 2f Fj40 is 43 to 44cm (17 to 17.3 in)

The diameter of the opening in the fan shroud is 18.5 inches. I am not sure of the diameter of my fan blade. I can measure it tomorrow. My engine is the 2F with a fan clutch. I do not know why my fan blade is larger. I looked at ArkansasLarry's fan blade and it is different than mine. He has a fan clutch and his fan fits in the fan shroud. My fan has fins on each blade and seems to be a little larger than most. I would like to find the same fan blade that others have because it would fit my modified shroud. After spending so much to modify it, I hate to sell it.

Had a chance to measure my fan blade. It measures 17 5/8 inches in diameter.
