What if I said I'm planning an awesome off road expedition, but it's only for FJ cruisers
and no one else :flipoff2:

I'd understand! (this coming from a guy who believes REAL Cruisers have a removable top!)

Only 3? I know there are more 40's than that who want to wheel!

I got's the 40 with 33's...No lockers though and I am pretty much a newbie to wheeling.

I need to get more experience on my own before I jump out with you guys. I dont want to get in over my head and to be honest I am afraid of breaking the rig cause' I need it to do work.

Thats my whine story for now but would like to get out in the future with you all.

40's only? Are you a 40 fascist? Mine 40Fure. You've peaked my interest but that's a hall for me.

I have a 40 and would love to wheel with you guys but I can't pass on an opportunity to wheel here in RI and meet some more people down here. Too bad they are on the same day.
Eric

I think the "40 only" thing is more in reference to tight trails than vehicle exclusivity. The trails that Lane wants to run are tight in the trees where only SWB rigs can get through. You could probably squeeze FJ Cruisers or longer through some spots, but they wouldn't look the same after.

Thank you Randy!

spud, this is the way to get the experience. just ask the guys... guys, dont i have a ton of off camber experience? total pro at it?

seriously though... totally the way to get used to the pucker factor, get out there!

I appreciate that, and I agree.
But if someone is going to organize a ride and state that you need lockers...I'm not going to show up with no lockers, (and limited wheeling experience). I dont wanna be the one that holds up a group.

Maybe if I had the experience, and confidence that goes with it, I might show up without the Locked advantage.

Being new to this, it is hard to guage how hard a trail you all are hittin.

Example: I showed up for a jeep get together at the backyard this spring, thinkin' that I did'nt need lockers and more than 33's...I mean after hearing all the stuff written here, (again without wheeling experience), I was like shoot I have a 40, I can do anything a jeep could do and more right.:lol::lol:, well it was a reality check for me when I saw the rigs with 40" tires and all, then we walked around to the entrance to the trails to see boulders like 2-3ft high that you had to drive over/through:eek:....Holy Cow, now I have some respect for the ones hittin those trails.

When someone wants to do some trails that dont "require" lockers, and they dont mind teaching some stuff, I would like to go. I'm in Sullivan county NH now, but will be bringing my 40 back to CT in the next month or so. So I may have to wait for some opportunities in the Spring. Just for the record, I am not a total novice, just the experience I have has mostly been on my own through class6 roads and on my land, so seeing how my experience/skills relate to others will be cool for me to see. Maybe I am OK???

very good of you to abide by the locker statement... i didnt even notice

Yea, Pete is the best off-camber guy we have, yep, old off-camber Pete. (he s***s his pants when we even mention it : )

Are you wheeling Carnage? Can you just request this up on the NEA forum in case another club tries to reserve this there are no issues?

Thanks,
Scott

Run is being cancelled!
I'm sorry to have to do this but,
I was told that there is going to be a Birthday Party for my
Grandmother on the 18th.
She's going to be 104 years old and I really can't miss it!

Thanks!
Lane

It's still on!

Dave Nevison has stepped up and will lead the run.
I'll post up a meeting spot and time and get you guys to the trail.
Thanks Dave!

Lane
