Skid plate purchased new from Mr. Downey late last year, to be used for my '78 40. The truck has a newly installed H55 transmission and it's not practical for me to modify the skid to fit. I'm better off starting from scratch. Downey products are first class and this skid is no exception. Visit Tojo products for more information. $225.00 plus shipping.
Located in SE Arizona. We make periodic trips to Tucson and Phoenix and could help with delivery.

Hmmm.... I was looking at purchasing skid plates direct from them. However, my dad is in Tucson and always looking for a good excuse to visit his grandsons and daughter-in-law. For the "right" price I could talk him into bringing those in his luggage.... maybe.

Too bad you're so far away.

If you're in Southern Arizona it would be worth driving up to 4-Plus and buying one of Dave's H55f crossmember/skid setups. They are excellent and a super easy install

When we were installing the H55 combo, he didn't have any and was uncertain if he would do any more. He did offer me the Cad file, but the closest place to do the heavy steel plate is in Las Vegas. I have a lot of Dave's products and know him well. A truly great guy! At this point we will probably proceed with our own build,

Many years ago, I met the CEO of a company that does stamped steel parts and they did a great job. If memory serves me correctly, it was "Master Craft Engineering out of Tifton Georgia". They could also make shackles or anything else you can think of.
