Thought I would put this out there. I know its not original, but might have alot of parts for someone. If someone here gets it please post up here!

He sent me pics, and I can email them to someone if you want me to.

1961 toyota landcruiser
Black with black soft top it looks just like the FJ40 but i belive its a foot or two longer. There is a couple of small rust spots under the windshield and over the passengerside rear quarter panel. Other than that this thing looks great. It has a chevy 350 which is hydolocked and an 400 turbo tranny not sure what kind of transfer case it has duel pipes that dump out behind rear tires brakes need new adjuster nuts in order to fix them. It has 32X10.5 tires with about 50% tread. I will email pics if your interested.

Any chance you could post a couple of those pics here so we can see what it looks like. He has my curiousity stirred when he says it's a 25, but a foot or two longer than an FJ40.

I just fwd the 3 emails he send me to you. I put 61 fj25 landcruiser as the title.

thanks for hosting them! Might be b/c I am local to him??

Can someone find me a 40 for under $1K to work on :)

Thanks Matt, I added those to the others.

You should have no problem finding a 40 for under $1k to work on..................................................problem is there aren't many 40's under $1k worth working on. ;)

I found a few that I am looking at check my thread in the 40 section about whats a parts/needs alot of work fj40 worth. Should be near the top.

I would love more advice!!

And please dont bid against me :)

The body doesn't look all that bad, considering. And it's not a foot or two longer than an FJ40 after all. Thanks for posting the pics, Jim.

It's #21482..........so I'm out. ;)

I'm trying to be good and limit myself to one cruiser a year and I all ready got one this year. If it's still for sale next year well maybe then:rolleyes:

Hey, what did you buy between January 1 and now? It's a new year!

I talked to Adam (the seller). It's not too far from me, about 20 min. I am going to look at it in the next day or 2...

I wish it had the original Toyota engine though. Don't know about the tranny, tc (doesn't sound like it from the description), drive train, etc.

Body does look decent, what do you 25 guys think about the price given the condition in the pics?

Also, where does the spare tire go on a 61? There is another here I am going to see that has the traditional mounted spare on the side on the rear right.
