So has anyone else seen an FJ with leather? I saw one this morning at my local dealer. It was very nice black with black leather. I know that it was a dealer add-on but it looked great!

That's kind of like a sledgehammer with a Gucci label on it

Mine's got the leather, with kids and off-roading it's realy nice, just wipe it down to clean up. Sand and dirt don't stick in the fabric texture like the stock ones, it doesn't frizz, and for the most part liquids, etc just sloth right off it. I don't know why people slam leather, for off-road it's much better than cloth and more durable. You don't see people complaining about leather boots?

Aatlas1x - can you still get the heated seat option? Nothing like it to soothe the achin' back after a long day of wheeling (as well as taking away the chill of leather in the winter).

There was a yellow fj with leather at my dealers not to long ago and they were asking $42k for it. The part that blew me away was someone bought it.

Ouch.. Mine was supposed to be a $2000 option.. yeah right. Long story short I got the leather for free.

I've got leather seats in my 80 series. They're hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and the leather is cracking. The only good thing about them is that stuff doesn't get ground in to the material. I'd love to put some FJC seats in it. They are comfortable and less maintenance. All just IMO. I didn't mean a jab with my previous post, just making a joke.:)

I would never pay for leather because I always add sheepskins. Cool in the summer, warm in the winter, comfy and saves the original material for resale value.

On Ebay there is a seller with a full seat cover setup for $215. It is every bit as nice LOOKING as a custom leather job - super fit, A++. Started installing it today, the blue/black goes great with my Voodoo. Actually looks much better than the seats stock, uncovered. Superior to the Wet Okles, which are considered the standard for car covers.

Leather would be nice, but I think that with the way the FJC was built for wheeling, leather seems to be a bit too much. It would make if too much of a vehicle for Soccer moms. If I wanted leather, I would have bought a Lexus:flipoff2:
