I spoke to a buddy of mine this morning, and he asked me if I'd seen the '06 Land Cruiser.

I was like yeah, big honkin Sequoia looking thing, nothing to write home about, blah blah.

Then he's like, no no, it looks like a fat Element. It was yellow with black.

Apparently there was an FJ was parked at the Cottonwood Safeway earlier this week.

There was one parked on Broken Arrow when we were there Saturday.

What do they park there for? Is it like a park & hike kinda thing?

I don't understand why you'd park it there....if you could drive all the way in...

I know it sounds crazy, but some people get out and hike it- and some even crazier people bring their bikes and do the bike trail. Crazies!! :D

LOL, I used to hike it quite regularly! I used to live a couple blocks from the Marg's Drawa Trail, and it connects with Broken Arrow. Makes a nice 5mi RT hike.

It's actually a really nice hike. The foot trail diverges from the driving trail, and is rather scenic. The two trails come back together at the end.

I think the MTBers are nuts to bike that trail! Actually, my other favorite hiking trail, Huckaby, is crazy to bike. Some parts of it are even a little scary to hike.

Oh, and I finally saw an FJ with my own eyes this morning! I was headed to work in CV on 260, and a silver one was going the other way, to C'wood.

I spent the day at camelback Toyota on Saturday and came pretty close to buying the FJ for the wife. Instead, I got smart and bought her a certified 2003 Highlander with 23K miles. It's in absolutley perfect shape- looks brand new and got a very good deal.
