Its good to hear that, I'm also getting 220 (my best was today at 227) consistent to idiot lite for 2900 miles. My previous 3 toy 4x4's achieved a tank to tank improvement from new. The fj has been slower, I'm up to 15.3 from an original 14.3, and I have been driving sedate, when on the road.k_os said:Mileage will improve considerable (2-3mpg) after you go past 5mpg. That's how it's been with every single toyota I've owned. Corolla XRS, FJ-70, FJ-40, and now FJ Cruiser.
I used to get 220-230 when the idiot light came on. Now at 7k I get pretty close to 280 and I drive it average. I do go shift at 3 3.5k sometimes.. Ussually between 1.5 2 k rpms. I'm getting 18, 19 depending on how I drive it.
