FJ Model from dealer

I asked about the FJ model that is supposed to come with the purchase of a new Cruiser. Did those who received the model get a card in the package to order it themselves, or did the dealer order it and hand it over at delivery??

The salesman at Red McCombs Toyota didn't know anything about the model.

My dealer did not know about the model either. I got impatient and my wife called 1-800-GOTOYOTA and gave them our address and VIN. I have not recieved my model yet, but it has only been about 2 weeks since I called.

The day after she called, I got a card in the mail with a promo code to enter at www.toyotaownersonline.com/fj. The card came about 3-4 weeks after we picked up the FJ from the dealer.

A few of us that thought we had registered online, called the 800# to make sure, and they had no record of us. So, skip the online registration, and give them a call. You'll need your vin#

My model arrived today. Has been about 4 weeks or more since I registered online.

Cool model. (When you get yours, you have to remove it from the stryofoam base by unscrewing 4 phillips-head screws holding it to the bottom. Impossible to pull it out without doing so.)

I received a registration card for Toyota Owners online (or some such) and registered online. Got the model in a few weeks - no problems, except its on my desk at work and people want to play with it!

Had to take mine home to keep others from playing with it.
Wife put it on display in the china hutch. A place of honor!
