i was just wondering what kind of mileage you guys have seen an original fj motor rack up. thanks love the site

Are you talking about operating the vehicle over a given distance and comparing that to the amount of fuel consumed while doing so, or, are you talking about longevity?

My 73 FJ-40 with the orginal motor , weber carb and header gets around 12 mpg

mileage and or gas mileage would be great. 12mpg is that good or about average

17 mpg is good for me.

fuel efficiency varies between 12 and 17. I get from 12 to 14 mpg with my FJ40. Longevity varies, from just 100,000 miles on a neglected engine, to over 400,000 for a maintained engine. My 1974 FJ40 had about 230,000 before needing overhauling, the PO overhauled the 1970 FJ55 when it hit 260,000 I think.
