FJ Cruiser seats in 80

I do not know if it has been done. I do know that my wife and I found our FJC seats uncomfortable and replaced them with a set of Corbeaus

I will second that the FJC seats are not very comfortable. I put 70000 miles on mine and they were still uncomfortable.

Fastcarguy in AZ TLCA put manual adjustable Honda Accord seats in his 80. They look similar to the OE seats and he says they are comfy.

Most likely will have to do some fabrication to get other seats to fit as I doubt any other seat will bolt right in.

Seats are different for every vehicle. The seat structure itself might be the same across a couple models, but the mounting rails will be different on every model.
If you have a way to fabricate or hybridize some seats, give it a try.
I'm with the others... my DD is an FJ and they are not the most comfortable seats.

How about some cushy Avalon seats? Or even better, LS seats? That would be fantastic...
Starting in 2013, Avalon seats were available with heaters AND coolers. Basically, it blows A/C from a duct under the seat, through the cushion and up your keister! THAT is a comfortable ride...

I have a 2011 Avalon Limited and it has heated/cooled seats...I'd like to see if another pair will fit in my 80.

I don't care about the cooling aspect, but swapping a heated seat set into the cruiser would be great!

I feel like some FJ seats would be pretty pricey, that isn't a car that gets scrapped too often and had low production numbers......
I read another thread where people mentioned the FJ seats were really inferior and very uncomfortable.

If I can't find a good pair from an old Avalon, I'll probably go with Subaru Outback / WRX or even an old Jetta.

There a really GREAT thread HERE about seat swaps that is pretty amazing.

My plan was to pick up some Audi seats and while waiting for some to pop up locally I kept tabs on salvage yards for any new arrivals, ended up with a freshly completely refurbished stock set and a bunch of other misc new parts.

NICE.

Mine are cracked and ripped in the normal spots. I've thought about getting them reupholstered somewhere along the line, but there's a yard near me that sells the front seats (buckets) for $50/each at various times throughout the year, typically on holiday weekends. I dig the Jetta seats...but I'm also a fan of the old school honda seats from a prelude or accord circa early 90's. BUT, I'd be happy to go the late 90's Subaru outback seats (if they fit) with leather and the heating implements.
