I have got an 89 Fj62 that has around 170k miles on it. I know these vehicles are not known for their extreme speed but, what kind of power are you guys getting out of yours. Do any of you pull trailers with them and how do they do. Mine feels somewhat weak in the middle gears and i was wondering if it might just need another tune up or if that is all she's got. Thanks for the help and I look forward to hearing all of your feedback about your rigs!! Thanks again.

You are correct that they are not speed demons. :)
I sometimes pull my bass boat with a 60 series.
It's barely adequate on those highway 11 hills.
Thing is, it may slow to 45 on a steep grade but
it nonetheless gets the job done.
Excellent pullout power. Low end is where these babies shine.
If you want a tow vehicle, Land Cruiser would not
be my first choice. Still....they get the job done.
Tune ups never hurt. :grinpimp:
