I have a 76 Pig with the standard 15" steel wheels and the stock caps. I believe they are 5.5" width. I am trying to find 7 or 8 in. wheels that would retain the original stainless hub caps. Any suggestions.

Check these guys out. http://www.stocktonwheel.com/ The hotrod guys use them for widening stock steel wheels. I had a local racecar builder widen the stock wheels for my 67 Bug. He kept the original center and welded on a 7" Chevy rim section. I think it was $150 for a pair. Where are you located?

I hadn't thought of that. Maybe there are some other outlets for these stock looking wheels that would allow me to retain the caps also. I'm located in texas

I'm sure you could find someone near you that could take your factory centers and weld on wider rims. I think that's what you want? Stock centers w a wider rim?
