I saw a few older posts with people asking questions about the fitment of the Safari Snorkel designed for the TD and smaller V8, onto the 5.7L . I know several people have done this install, but I thought I would toss up a couple of detailed shots of the airbox.
On this install, we were able to push the factory airbox back just a little, and as others have mentioned, the inlet is soft enough to deform and seal with the snorkel. We had to use a larger clamp. Also, where the snorkel enters the engine compartment, we installed a buffer to keep it from rubbing and wearing on the snorkel. It's a pretty simple install, and hopefully these shots will lend a hand.

Sweet. Have any more pics such as completed shots, especially a close up where the front quarter panel was cut through?

I don't have any shots of that portion of the install. I think others have it already in some of the other snorkel threads.
