hey guys...first time user and hopefully not invading anyone's turf..
check out my new FJ62! Bought it an hour ago for $3500 and has 213K highway miles! Please tell me I got a good buy!

am ready to get started working on it...this is a first for me so I don't even know where to begin! it's got a few little body imperfections and needs a new dash board and some rear carpet. Also, gotta have some new tires but want to lift it about 2" first.

Looks like you got a nice one. Might want to consider a long term plan so you avoid replacing parts you already replaced.. Such as shocks before a lift resulting in having to replace the new shocks. Same with tires. If your want 33's or 35's after a lift, just get something to get you by until later.

There is a world of information, experience and knowledge here and shouldn't be much you can't find. Above all else, have fun.

On my 62 I had the entire inside floor sprayed with truck bed liner to solve the carpet problem. I also have the 2.5-3" lift kit from old man emu and it is excellent so far. Hope this helps.

The 60 series faq is a great read even if you don't own a 60 series. Good looking truck you have there now just yank out the auto, do a 2fe conversion, a lift, some armor, new tires, lights, build a storage cabinet, etc,etc,etc...

In other words get ready to have fun.
