Just thought I would say hi. I purchased a 2000 100 Series in Atlantis Blue Mica. She has 130,000 miles on the clock!! and I think she's beautiful. PO had good records and seemed to take great care of her. Since buying her last week I've installed new Bilstein shocks in the rear, turned the front torsion bars up a hair and had an alignment, ordered a replacement bulb for the projectors that were retrofitted, and put in an order for sliders with MetalTech for the OPOR sliders. . I also tried to address a dripping AC in the passenger footwell and removed two cabin air filters. Went to Toyota to find replacements and they informed me that LC's in 2000 did not have cabin air filters.........WTF? So I still have a drip in the footwel and have tried tightening everything. I also have drips under the vehicle so I don't think the drains are clogged. Not sure what to do?

I LOVE it though. Nice and big and slow. My only complaint that I can think of is that it doesn't have the rear space that my 4th Gen 4Runner has. I was able to sleep in the back of that very comfortably, and I don't think I'll be able to do that in the LC.

Here's a couple pics from the day I bought it:

Right now I'm just trying to figure out which of my SUV's to sell. Wife says we can only keep two.........

Here's the rest of the crew. I guess you can say we have all the bases covered? I look forward to learning a lot from you guys!

LC, GX, 4Runner, Porsche, BMW, and Ducati:eek: My God man you have quite the collection! The Porsche is spectacular!

Thanks man! I try to search out good deals and do all my work on my own. It's a pretty solid collection for a 28yr old! Owning a business and working hard has its perks!

Sounds like the PO added filters. Looks like they upgraded the rear hatch/taillights, too.

Had the A/C drip also. Replaced the seal and it's gone. Part No. 88578-47040

Thanks! I will order that seal right away.

Congrats on the LC! Atlantis Blue looks sharp especially with the LED tails. Very nice stable, but I would say the Porsche is smurf, not the LC :) So, curious how you would compare the GX to the LC? My guess is the 4runner's going...

I agree. I was just showing off the stable, I'll be honest...................

Thoughts on the GX vs LC. Keep in mind I've had it less than a week, so these are pretty shallow observations.

1.) I prefer the room in the LC MUCH more. I always thought the GX was too skinny from side to side. BUT, the GX has always done what we needed it to do. If anything the 4Runner has the most room in the back compared to both. The way the seats fold down in the 4Runner makes for a really large/flat rear area that I will miss. Neither of the other vehicles have that.

2.) The GX ride is better. Maybe because it's a Lexus, maybe AHC, I'm not sure. But it is totally stock and it eats up bumps like butter. Just very smooth. LC isn't bad, but the GX is just so smooth.

I really like all three. Each one does something well. I've just always wanted an LC. Wish I could keep all three, but there's just no point. 4Runner is all cleaned up and gonna go park on a corner today probably.

I've only had my LC for a month now and I'm finding excuses to go out and drive. Even with gas at nearly $4 a gallon lol. I'm not surprised the Lexus has a softer ride, I believe the suspension is tuned that way. Reason I asked is we were considering a GX a while back for my wife, but ended up with a Honda Odyssey as it hauled the 3 kids and their friends around with such ease and comfort. I wanted to get an LC back then, but she thought it was too big so the one I purchased recently is all mine :)

Enjoy your LC - your problem will be finding the time to use all those toys in your stable! BTW, is the Porsche Mexico Blue?

Did the 100 come from Birmingham?

Sure, no problem. 4Runner is a 2005 V8 Sport in white.

It has 200,951 miles. First timing belt done at 125,000 so will need another one soon. Oil changed at regular intervals using high mileage.

It runs like a top and I've literally never had any problems. No modifications at all.

Bad:
VSC/Trac/Cel lights are on. Due to air pump. I've just ignored because I know it's not a problem, but it doesn't help me in selling it.

Body/paint is probably a 7/10. There are some dings and scratches. From 10ft away it looks great. I spent 5hrs cleaning and washing yesterday and it looks great. Interior is really in good shape. No tears or rips in any seats.

Sunroof is disconnected.

Toyo Open Country tires probably have another 8-10,000 miles on them

Have it listed for $10,200. I'm open to reasonable offers.

It's been in GA or AL all of its life. No rust.

Bamabrock - it used to have an ARB combo bar on the front I believe. Nice ride

How is it that you have Ratzeburg license plates on your 996 Turbo? : )

another GA hundy owner! Welcome!!

Welcome to the board and beautiful stable. I've been lurking on 6so reading up on all of the 996tt vs 997.2s threads. Tempted to add another P-car and I think the timing on the 996tt market may be right.

It's a great car. I've had this about 2yrs and might switch to a 997.1tt at the end of this year. But we'll see.

If I could encourage you to do anything get a Turbo or GT3. The 996t can be had at such a good price right now and there's so much bang for the buck!
