I've got a 65 cowl/firewall that the PO hacked up little. Is it feasable to cut out the old section of firewall and put a 72 in it's place. That way I wouldn't need the spacer for the MC for dual power brakes.

I cut out the rib on my 69 firewall and then modded it up to install 74 underdash brake brackets and a 74 booster....works just fine, no problems in 5+ years....

I grafted in a later model section of bulkhead in place of my 09/68-40, removed all the old pedal stuff under the dash, and used a swing pedal assembly from a 73. I did this back in '92, been working great since.
