Today went VERY well! Checked out an absolutely amazing house in Grafton. Needs nothing and has a pool and a great view. Bit above our price range (by $35K) but there is a high school close by so I can sell crack to the kids and make up the mortgage difference.

My wife almost cried when we went in the house. It's perfect. Everything she ever wanted and then some. Another buyer put in a contingent offer yesterday. We submitted a backup offer but there's a good chance we'll get it since our house already has a pending, guaranteed sale in 5 weeks. Hope we get it cuz I won't be able to handle my wife crying for years to come.

Still gotta sell the toys!!!!!!!!

i'll keep the prayers coming your way...

nice to see it's working out for ya :)

Got my fingers and other parts crossed on this one. Updates as they come.

Good interest on the trucks via PM's

Good luck John! I hope things work out for you

Good Luck you'll be pretty close to me. Grafton is a nice town.

a 45 pickup?

Leaping deer has first dibs on it. Should know by weeks end what's happening with that. That one I'm not too worried about getting rid of. It'll go quickly I'm sure. The 55 makes me more nervous and its the best condition of all of them. Pig's are strange I guess.

Cool to have a crusier guy close by. If we get the offer accepted at the house I'll shoot him an e-mail.

I'll know about the house Friday after the other party's home inspection. We're putting in a higher offer so if they ask for so much as even a light bulb to be changed, we will get the house. If they don't make any changes we're screwed. Wifey is obsessing already.

old houses are fun
FWIW our 200 + yearold house has sills you can push yer finger into!

For my tent? Or do I have to live out of the 60?:D

UPDATE on the house part-

Thank the cruiser gods for all this shyte rain today. The house we have second dibs on has a water problem in the basement which doesn't scare me. The first couple had the home inspection today and brought the wife's mother who freaked out about the basement moisture and is telling them not to buy it or negotiate a huge amount of $$$ off the price. I've just submitted a higher (almost full price) offer and we'll know in the next 24 hours. Exciting stuff.

The 45 wagon is basically sold. The 55 is dead in the water on eBay. I would go insanely low on that but don't want to post my bottom price. Any 55 people would shyte when they see it so pass the word and have them PM me.

I do have a 45 pickup coming next Tuesday and there is a line forming for dibs on it. Anyone else interested PM me. $8500 for Mud people plus a free case of wine if you're a YT guy. I'll be in Chile all next week so can't really deal with it till I get back on Sat.

If the house deal falls apart my amigo just moved to ATL and his house in Marshfield is empty and we can have it for free until it sells. The cruiser gods are happy!

I should move more often.....don't usually have much excitement in my life these days!

Screwed.

The house in Grafton ain't happening. The other couple's deal is going through. Prolly gonna move in with my father in law for the summer. Very bummed out. We looked at 12 houses today and they basically all sucked.

Well it's official. There was one house yesterday that I really liked and as usual my wife found something minor wrong with it and didn't get that "feeling" whatever the hell that means.

I am officially moving in with my father in law in Winchester, MA. My wife better get over her high maintenance, perfectionist ways and pick out a house quickly. The ones she likes are $100K out of our price range and she compares the ones we can afford to those. More or less I'm gonna be living with my F-I-L for a long, long time.

How long till he brings up how much beer I drink to the wife? (2 per day BTW) Should be real fun.

hey J.... the nice think about winchester is you arent far at all from a bunch of us... Nate, Randy, me... a few more. I will bring over my air tools and we can bang away on a truck all day. host a wrench day... the neighbors will complain and you will be asked to leave! perfect plan.

I think the neighbors will bitch about the number of cars even if I only keep 1 cruiser. It'll be nice to have some other people to get away from the house with. Unfortunately I'm sure every spare minute will be house hunting

He's actually a fairly decent guy. He;s never around much and a health nut. It's his wife that is the real problem. She is very intense and bitchy. I can handle her in small doses. She basically pulls the strings and tells the FIL what to say and do. She puts up a good front most of the time but I'm sure daily contact will wear her out fast.

Gotta say I do like the thought of not paying a fat mortgage for a month or 2.
