On the freeway driving in from Medford it sure looked like an "Everybody get out!!" type situation. But here at SOU it just seems to be business as usual. :meh:

We'll see...

The rains should be here soon, we hope...

Ya, looks pretty good. Heard they have deploying bombers, etc and pulling in some help.

We have 3 clients on the south part of town that last power do to it so far.

Another client said another fire went up in the Applegate area (un-confirmed).....

but anyway...

the fires was right across the freeway from my job, above old 99.

i hope they catch these bastards and cut off their fxxxing hands.
i lost an old friend in that heli crash last year, fires are not a laughing matter.

I also lost a friend in last years helicopter crash. Fires are no laughing matter, but would you be amazed when you come up to home owner and tell them to leave that they are in danger and they tell you NO. Now not only are you dealing with saving their home, you are dealing with the trying to save there life. Some people don't have a clue. I live for fires but I don't want to see people hurt or homes lost, that is the sucky part of the job.

That's the fire on Roxy Ann, isn't it?

There are at least two. One over off Tolman Creek, and one on Roxy Ann.

Sorry ya, the pic is the roxy fire. heard about the tolman earlier and while chatting about those a client was saying something about a fire in applegate. Not sure though because the local news made it sound like folks out there were just getting the smoke and assuming it was close to them.
