I got the quick fist clamps the other day and when I was looking for a place to mount the extinguisher, I stole part of your idea, re-arranged some things:
Would like to have one more easily accesible to the driver...

UZJ100 Fire Extinguisher Location and Mount

Resurrecting this thread since I am looking for a good location for a fire extinguisher and mount in the UZJ100 for those of us without rear drawers or storage.

Please post pics and tell us what you have and where it was sourced (e.g. extinguisher and mount).

So far, I have come up with the following examples below.

Thanks!

I think the only solution that truly makes sense is keeping it in the front row of the cab. Literally seconds matter when a fire is happening, so to get out of your truck, run around to the back to the hatch, and use it could be too long to act. Also, what if your hatch or rear doors are inaccessible if you get in a wreck or hit something that renders them un-openable? I would hate to carry an extinguisher around and then not be able to use it if it's needed. Unfortunately the best places to carry them are also the least visually appealing, but it's a compromise like everything else!

Also FWIW, this one looks the best IMO especially since you don't have to drill anything!

Its important to realize the vehicle you are trying to save with your fire extinguisher can be severally damaged by the dry chemical extinguisher. Maybe you put the fire out, but massive damage either way.

Halotron is the only way to go, expensive but, worthwhile. You won't find anything else around nice cars/ equipment.

Hi Sir, I would also be interested in putting my Halogen Fire extinguisher in the same spot you did. I am speaking about how you used the rear panel on either the passenger or driver's side in the very rear of the Land Cruiser to store your extinguisher. My question is What size of a fire extinguisher did you use. The last thing I want to do is to BUY A HALOGEN FIRE EXTINGUISHER which for me is very expensive, therefore I want to make sure I buy the largest size that will fit somewhat easily, so I am able to remove it quickly. So will you please share with me what size of extinguisher you used (2.5 lb. or bigger or if you think instead of one 5lb jug I might be able to fit two 2.5 lb. pieces) Please tell me what size you used. THANK YOU in advance for any help and/or advice it would be greatley appreciated for this novice!
