Well, it looks like I'll be leaving the 100 series crew.... For now. I've decided to keep my 80 and sell the. LX. I've got a couple weeks before I need to put it up for sale, so for now I'm going yo drive her and enjoy it. I already have the double din deck bought, so I'll put that in and that's it .... I will be back. Once my 55 project is done, I won't need the. 80 and I can hit the 100's again...,, keep wheeling!!

I decided to try and remedy the faded paint on the roof. I found this Automotive Paint in spray cans that matches OEM colors. They also have the clear coat to put on it......So I undertook doing this. I wet sanded with 1000grit the area thoroughly and then remove all wax and grease with a cleaner. Then I masked the area and applied 3 coats of basecoat with 10 min between coats. Let that dry 30 min and apply 3 coats of clear coat the same way. It came out really nice. It's not show quality, but pretty damn nice. I'm going to do the rest of the roof since that's where most of the fading is going on....

Wet sanded the rest of the roof. Waiting for more paint then I'll get it all done....

Did you remove the front grill before plasti-dipping it? I did the badges on my green 100 on the back and am thinking about doing the entire grill as well...looks cool.

I really need to do the rear badges on my green truck... the gold is killing me lol. I chose to remove the whole grill when I did it. This allowed me to do ZERO masking and it's only a few bolts anyway. Very simple to remove.
