I've had a problem with the 60 brights not working when clicked forward to the "on" position. You all have heard this one before, turn on the lights (work fine), then push forward for brights and no lights (nothing, not even the normal driving lights), but pull back and they work fine. Oh course the normal driving lights work, but the brights won't stay on like they should. Well I found this procedure written up by SCREWBIRD and bam! I have bright lights like a normal vehicle does again. The write up is great and lack of pics is not a big deal because everything is straight forward so don't sweat it. It seriously took me about an hour to do this and put it all back together. Only problem I had was getting the steering wheel cap/ cover off since the 3 screws on the underside of the steering wheel were frozen and a "BEE-ATTCH" to get off. But just like Screwbird said, that was the problem. Ahh, finally, brights that stay on. If this sounds like your problem, print out Screwbird's write up and I'm sure this will fix it. Contacts were all backened and not very metalic looking, but they are good now. I just can't believe I've lived with this annoying problem for two years , EASY FIX! THANK YOU SCREWBIRD, problem solved!

The thread is kinda long winded (too many Fat Tires that day) but it will make perfect sense when you have the widget in front of you.

Contact cleaner, at least the stuff I was using, was no match for some fine grit sandpaper to get down to the bare metal of the contacts.

FJKai,

Glad to hear that my post was helpful to you. It has been some time since I've been on ih8mud, as you can see, so I apologize for this reply being so late.

I know this problem is prevalent among 60 & 62 owners, because finding a used switch for a decent price is like searching for something sexy about Hillary Clinton.

Cheers to you for fixing it yourself.
